KOFATERM ROOF PAINT is a thermal reflective coating used on roofs. The primary purpose of this coating is to reflect over 90% of the electromagnetic wave energy from the sun, which is associated with heating the roof surface. By reducing the temperature of the roof, the amount of thermal energy that enters the building and eventually reaches its interior is significantly decreased. This also reduces the amount of thermal energy collected and stored in the partition (roof) during a sunny day which would have continued to heat the interior even at night when it is already cool outside. The reduction of thermal energy entering the building results in tangible savings in electricity needed to cool the rooms through air conditioning, both during the day and at night.KOFATERM ROOF PAINT significantly eliminates micro-cracks on the surface of the wall and eliminates thermal bridges which prevent condensation of water vapor and inhibits the formation of mold, fungi, and algae.
The paint is easy to apply, similar to traditional emulsion paints using a brush, a roller, or spray. The process of applying KOFATERM PAINT coating requiresus to apply the paint 2-3 times so that the final coating thickness is 0.4-0.5 mm (0.015-0.019 inches). Such thickness is necessary to achieve maximum thermal reflective properties and maintain their full efficiency. High adhesion ensures excellent connection to all roofing surfaces, including bituminous surfaces when using BITUM PRIMER by KOFARB.

KOFATERM ROOF PAINT reduces energy consumption by up to 40% not only in the summer but also protects the thermal insulation materials inside the partition from degradation thus allowing for proper thermal resistance and efficiency resulting in tangible savings in winter as well.

Thanks to its properties it can be used on roofs of residential buildings, hospitals, hotels, office buildings, public institutions, production halls, garages, animal husbandry, etc. KOFATERM ROOF PAINT is a unique material that allows for the thermal modernization of historical monuments under conservation protection. It can be colored, but in this case, inorganic pigments for emulsion paints should be used. The paint is resistant to UV radiation.
